Ten Awesome Super Hero Tattoos

30 June '10 by , under Tattoo Designs.

Everybody’s got a hero. Sometimes heroes come from real life, and sometimes they come from movie screens, video games or the colorful pages of comic books. In some cases those iconic figures can be turned into permanent pieces of body art. This is a collection of 10 of the coolest Super Hero tattoos in Flickr’s Creative Commons. There are plenty more where these came from in the group Geek Tattoos.

Kicking it off is the group from DC comics. The first 2 share a Superman theme and both are particularly awesome because they take the classic superman figure, or symbol and turn it into something darker and unique.

Moving over to the other comic book giant, there are a bunch of killer images from the Marvel comic family. This one comes from the popular X-Men series. Though, not one of the most famous X-Men characters, Gambit is a hero with a dark side and the ability to use playing cards as a weapon. The way the cards are created gives the tattoo a real sense of motion and excitement.
