Sexiest Places for Women to Get Tattoos

Women generally want to look sexy and attractive and a lot of them resort to tattoos to express this desire. However, tattoos and sexy do not always go together; its all about design, attitude and the right body parts to have it done. So what are the sexiest places in the body for women to get tattoos?

Ankle and foot seem to be on the rise as sexy places to get tattoos. They are best highlighted when flaunted with the right shoes, stiletto perhaps, an open sandals or even flip flops.  There is just something interesting about a decorated foot peaking out  of a sexy shoe or a tattooed ankle creating attention with its bracelet designs or tribal styles.   What makes ankle and foot as sexy locations is the fact that small feminine designs like flowers, butterflies and stars fit very well on these areas as they can be inked to make them perfectly symmetrical to the natural shape of the foot or ankle.

Shoulder blade is another great canvas to get sexy tattoos. Angelina Jolie, one of the sexiest celebrities to date has a Buddhist prayer on her left shoulder blade. Shoulder blade tattoos can be perfectly revealed with sexy tops like backless or one shoulder blouse.

Lower back tattoos are perhaps one of the very first tat theme to be classified as sexy and even sensual made popular with tribal and Celtic designs, flowers, butterfly and fairies.   However, these tattoos are given the nickname “tramp stamp”; they are referred to as trashy by some, or too cliché or unoriginal. So lower back tattoos seem to be debatable as to whether its still considered sexy or not. However way one looks at it, its all about the personality of the person sporting it. Lower back tattoos can still be sexy, trendy and stylish if done right and project the proper way.

The rib is another area of the body that’s catching the attention of female tattoo enthusiast as a sexy place to get inked at. Rib tattoos are sexy because designs can be form fitting and flattering to the shapely curves of a woman’s body.  Even if its considered one of the most painful areas to get tattooed, a lot of women these days still prefer them.  The rib cage is comparable to a large canvas with ample spaces for intricate designs that make it even more special and unique.  A very popular sexy celebrity, Megan Fox has textual tattoos on her rib cage and a lot of women seem to be following her lead.

The lower stomach is another sexy part of the body to get tattooed with popular designs such as stars, butterfly and flower usually inked on a smaller scale. They are best sported with women who have nice flat abs. They are flaunted in an inviting and flirtatious way by wearing bikini, low waist pants and short tank tops.
